Services and Experience | Phase I | Phase II | Groundwater Contamination | Remedial Construction | Indoor Air Quality Investigations | Industrial Hygiene | Lead Paint Assessment | Additional Services
Phase II ESAs are subsurface investigations of soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater which are based on the recommendations contained in a Phase I ESA. Soils investigations can consist of hand auger drilling or mechanical drilling in order to collect soil samples for visual and olfactory inspection, field screening for petroleum hydrocarbon vapors, and/or laboratory analyses. Groundwater investigations are utilized to detect the presence/absence of such potential contaminants as petroleum, solvents, metals, pesticides, PCBs, etc. FGS conducts all sampling and analyses in accordance with our Florida Department of Environmental Protection approved Comprehensive Quality Assurance Plan.
FGS has conducted Phase II ESAs throughout the southeast and Florida for a wide range of possible on-site and off-site contaminant sources. It is the objective of FGS to have detailed recommendations from Phase I ESA investigations in hand before proceeding to develop a scope of services to detect the presence/absence of adverse impact. At the completion of the Phase II ESA, the procedures, methodologies and results are provided in a bound report, which concludes with a recommendation for no further assessments or a detailed outline of warranted additional environmental assessments and/or remedial actions.
